Physical Theater and Storytelling Workshop

Bring Leland into your classroom for an energetic, transformative, and fun workshop. Students will focus on creating physical theater using movement techniques and improvisation to gain specific skills to bring theatrical ideas to life.

Program available in person, or live online.

Length: 45-60 Minutes
Audience Limit: 30
Curriculum Connection: Shadow Puppet Theatre, Storytelling, Folktales, Science of Shadow

Minimum of 2 workshops per day


2 Workshops: $500
Additional or Post Performance Workshops: $200
Travel: $150 per day
Pricing may vary for weekends/out-of-school time
Processing Fee of $30 added to all contracts

Live Online: 

School sets up link for remote meeting and makes the artist a co-host. Screen share must be enabled. Artist may need to sign on 20-30 minutes prior to the meeting to check sound levels. A representative from the school must be on the call and mute students as needed. Please introduce them as an Arts for Learning Massachusetts artist.

 

In-Person

Provisions:

  • A teacher in the room to support artist and address student needs
  • An open area like a gym or shaded outdoor space
  • If a stage/cafetorium is available that would be functional if the tables are put away and the main floor space is open (classes are divided into groups that work in various parts of the space)
  • seven chairs
  • a standard outlet for electrical power
  • water for the artist
