Plena Dance Workshop
Plena is a traditional Afro-Puerto dance that has been evolving since the beginning of the 20th century. The Plena dance Workshop is a unique opportunity for participants to learn traditional steps of this dance from Puerto Rico in a very friendly and easy fashion. Students will learn to appreciate the connection of this Afro-Puerto Rican dance with contemporary movements like hip-hop.

Additional or Post-Performance Workshops: $368

Planning fee based upon scope of residency.
Travel (per day): $100

Provisions:
- 1 reserved parking space.
- Enough space for students to move and dance
- A sound system to play music (can be a boom box or mp3 player, an mp3 of the music will be previously provided by AFLMA) as well as connect a cordless head set or lavalier cordless mic to (if venue cannot provide a lavalier mic, the artist can bring their own, please notify your AFLMA contact).
Arrival time before first workshop: 30 minutes.
Strike time: 20 minutes.
Time needed between workshops: 15 minutes.
