Bollywood dance courses primarily focus on teaching the techniques, styles, and cultural aspects of Bollywood dance originating from India. Throughout the course, students will build a solid foundation in rhythm, coordination, strength, and stamina, applicable to various dance styles. Learning folk dances of different parts of India like Rajasthan, Gujarat and Punjab.

The focus will be on fundamental footwork, grooves, rhythm patterns, and expressive hand gestures that define Bollywood dance, enhancing capabilities with precision and grace.

Learning Goals:

  • Students will understand the cultural significance and historical context of Bollywood dance and the folk dances of Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Punjab, fostering a deeper appreciation for the region's heritage.
  • Students will improve their physical fitness, coordination, and teamwork skills through cardio-intensive dance routines and synchronized group performances.
  • Students will enhance their social-emotional learning by expressing emotions through movement, building self-awareness, and developing empathy and social skills through collaborative dance activities.

2 Workshops: $550
Additional Workshops: $220
Residency Workshops: $175-275
Materials fee based on needs of residency.
Planning fee based upon scope of residency.
Travel Fee: $50/day
Processing Fee of $45 added to all contracts
Pricing may vary for weekends/out-of-school time

Provisions:

  • A teacher in the room to support artist and address student needs.
  • A reserved parking space.
  • A clean, smooth dance floor (participants may be dancing barefoot).
  • Enough room for students to move around.
  • A sound system/bluetooth speaker for the music.

Arrival time before first workshop: 30 minutes.

Strike time: 10 minutes.

Time needed between workshops: 15 minutes.
