The Film and Media Cooperative explores the concepts of communication, influence, and identity in the digital age. It’s at this confluence youth are forged. This program gives them the essential tools to navigate, explore, assess, and express themselves on their path to be self-actualized. 

In this customizable residency program, the artist and educational partner will work together to create a program that best fits student needs. Potential topics and skills learned include:

  • Learning the fundamentals of the production process including storytelling/narrative, field production, the interview process, and non-linear 3-point editing. Students will also develop performance skills.
  • Supplementing writing skills when creating original short stories and screenplays. The program has also been integrated into core classes such as science, English, and history utilizing a co teacher model.
  • Developing, confidence, and public speaking skills through acting techniques. Students will also learn to express themselves through SEL based activities.
Length: 45-60 minutes

Film editing fee starts at $300

Travel: $75 per day

Pricing may vary for weekends/out-of-school time
Processing Fee of $30 added to all contracts

Provisions: A teacher in the room to support artist and address student needs.
