Veronica Robles is a Mariachi singer by trade but has become a cultural icon for Latinos in Boston. Her work utilizes the power of the arts and culture to bring communities together by raising awareness of the importance of diversity, and empowers youth by  teaching them about their roots and culture.  As a singer, Veronica has performed at venues such as New York's Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Providence Performing Arts Center and The Dallas Convention Center. She was honored by Boston's Mayor with a mural with her image in her Mariachi outfit on Pari Street in East Boston. Mayor Walsh also appointed her to the leadership board for the Boston Creates initiative. Veronica is Co-founder and Director of the Veronica Robles Cultural Center, which supports community action and economic growth in East Boston, features Latin American arts and culture programs and provides jobs for area youth. In 2019, with the support of The Boston Foundation, Veronica Robles founded Boston’s First Ever All Women Mariachi Band.
