DrumatiX is a bi-coastal creative percussion company (Boston & SoCal) founded in 2017 by dancer, musician, and award-winning choreographer Noa Barankin. The company presents an innovative and creative blend of tap dance, body percussion and drumming using everyday objects, invented instruments, large drums, barrels, buckets, technology, clowning, and audience interaction.

DrumatiX's mission is to bring audiences closer to the traditional art of tap dance and its roots in body percussion and drumming, while showcasing how we can creatively transform and blend them into new, original, imaginative creations and integrating STEM, music, and theatre within a dance performance.

DrumatiX has presented at venues and festivals throughout New England, New York, Los Angeles, and San Diego, including Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, Clayton Opera House, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Pasadena Playhouse, Providence Performing Arts Center, and 24th Street Theatre, as well as for clients such as Boston Bar Association, and globally for Cisco. DrumatiX is on the roster of Arts For Learning MA and Arts Connection San Diego, presenting educational programs and residencies in schools, libraries, and other family-oriented programming. Selected as the 2024 Performing Arts Residency artists at the San Diego International Airport, winner of Boston Parents Paper for “Best Live Theatre and Family Performances” in 2023, Pick of the Hollywood Fringe, and Best of Broadwater Theatre in LA, and nominated for Best Ensemble and Best Dance Production in Broadway World LA, their performances have been described as “Energizing, original, well-crafted, & impressively virtuosic” as well as “Electrifying” and “full of enticing rhythms, clever execution, and high production quality that make this company a must-see!”.

Noa Barankin, dancer, musician, director, and choreographer, boasts extensive experience in the performing arts both abroad and the US. As the Artistic Director & Choreographer of DrumatiX, she has showcased her work in prominent venues nationwide. Before founding DrumatiX, Noa's talents took her on international tours with Tararam and performances with Offbeat Tap and the Boston Tap Company. Her creative endeavors extend to choreography for television and independent films, and directing youth musical theater. Notably, her role in the musical "Power of Wishes" garnered her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Israeli Children's Theater Awards in 2013.

Noa's dedication to the arts extends beyond performance to education. She has shared her expertise with students at esteemed institutions like MIT, Northeastern, and Brandeis, as well as at renowned festivals including Beantown Tapfest and Southern Vermont Dance Festival, and for the dance studio industry in studios and dance conventions. Her commitment to nurturing talent has earned her nominations for the Industry Dance Awards and top honors at national competitions alongside her students. She also provides educational programs and school assemblies to K-12 institutions locally and in the Northeast through her ongoing partnerships with Arts For Learning MA and Arts Education Connection San Diego. Before relocating to San Diego, Noa was an Adjunct Pofessor of Dance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
