Testimonials
This was one of the best programs we have had here at Franklin. Everyone loved it! So fun! The kids had a blast and were so engaged! Our class LOVED this presentation! And some children asked if they would be back next year! They kept dancing throughout their day. What an amazing presentation! It contained a wonderful message that was shared with such high level of energy and enthusiasm. This program was also so inclusive to all students with the “dance party” at the end. Having this program towards the end of the year was such a nice way to share such positive and interesting information as well. My class and I truly enjoyed this program! The kids loved it! They were inspired to show off their moves all day. WOW! So stupendous!! Thanks!
I just wanted to send a note of gratitude to you, and to Brandon and his crew. We had Illstyle and Peace at the Great Oak school yesterday and it was just phenomenal! The guys are amazing dancers with a really fabulous show. I got to sit through both performances and kids and teachers/parents alike were enthralled. It was the perfect combination of education and entertainment. Even better, this is an email I got from the school library aide today: ‘I wanted to tell you how much the kids loved the performance yesterday. I was in with grades 3, 4 and 5 and they were all so engaged and enthusiastic throughout the performance. It was one of the best I had seen. I got such joy out of watching the kids respond to the performance. I also have a first grader who was in the younger group who enjoyed it. My husband also said that kids were coming out at pick up talking about it.'
Illstyle and Peace were beyond fantastic! The kids are still talking about their performance–and really interactive, too!! They even got the principal and the janitor to “pop” and “break” on stage! A great bunch of guys and excellent with our very young group. I give it/them 5 Stars!!!!!
The artists were engaging, energetic, professional, personable, and very talented! They interacted well with our students and shared a wonderful message of respect and perseverance. It was a delight!
…the performers inspired the students in our school to respect each other as well as their parents and teachers.
…their performance was amazing…fantastic! Everyone learned so much about hip-hop…the dance, the music, the art. This form of art has gotten such a bad “rap” from media. The stereotyping was washed away last evening with the performance of Illstyle & Peace Productions.
The performers were terrific! High energy, friendly, and related to the children extremely well. The show was a perfect blend of explaining how to become your dreams, the history of hip hop, and demonstrating the dance moves. The students and teachers LOVED this program! I would recommend this to all age levels.
'Illstyle and Peace provided one of the best assemblies we’ve had…. The performers were talented, articulate, entertaining and did a great job with the children. It was very interactive and positive.'
'They did an amazing job! They ran the gamut, laying out the roots and history of hip hop, demonstrations of various styles, skits and humor. Their message was positive, their presentation professional; the students were engaged the entire time. Both students and teacher thoroughly enjoyed their performance.'
I just returned from the wonderful performance of Illstyle and Peace at Poolesville High and I wanted to immediately give my kudos on a fantastic performance and program at our school. The performers were outstanding, and did a great job of captivating typically jaded and hard to please teenagers (who usually think anything to do with cultural arts must be “lame”). I would highly recommend this group to anyone interested in an assembly.
They were fantastic—Our 8th graders were hanging on every word and watching every move!
The Wow Factor. Students were very engaged.
Yesterday’s experiences with Illstyle and Peace Productions were amazing. Brother Peace and his colleagues were inspiring, jaw-dropping, infectiously positive, educational, collaborative, and had the entire school humming for the entire day, and the town’s parent community buzzing on a parents Facebook page all night and today. We loved them. We definitely hope to bring them back in other years. Thank you thank you thank you for offering such a professional, incredible program that will clearly have a lasting impact on our school for years. Brother Peace, a sincere thank you to you and your wonderful, incredible team for not just the group program, but for the time in between that you spent with smaller groups and individual kids with questions and one young lady with tears, who just needed a moment to show you her special moves! You made her month I am quite sure!
