“I Can Tell Too”- Awakening The Storyteller Within

Through this interactive workshop students will tune in to their senses as they explore the world inside of a story. Students will begin by actively listening to a story, analyzing and discussing how the story made them feel. Through this process children will identify what happens in the tale and how the actions were relayed. They will learn to notice intonations, gestures, sounds, body motions as well as consider the basic elements that make a story a story. After this exploration, students will share their own stories choosing from a variety of mediums such as props, nesting dolls, puppets, written and retold folktales or their very own made up tales.
