Zhan Liu (Echo) is a playwright, director, teaching artist, and drama educator originally from Beijing, China. After completing her Bachelor of Arts in Theater at the University of California Santa Barbara, she achieved her Master of Arts in Educational Theatre at New York University. Echo is furthering her education by pursuing a second master's degree at Harvard University, and she has recently moved to Boston.

Over the past three years, in addition to her previous experience, Echo has taught drama at two public schools in New York, expanding her impact on arts education within the United States. She has a rich background in developing and teaching drama classes for students ranging from Pre-K to grade 8 in private international schools in Beijing and public schools in New York. Echo has also been instrumental in creating partnerships with various arts education organizations in Beijing, designing and leading drama workshops and camps for different age groups. 

Echo is passionate about theatre and its powerful role in education. She aims to inspire, educate, and transform students' learning experiences. She loves directing theater productions with young people, fostering their creative journeys. Her directing credits include notable adaptations such as "Pipi Longstocking," "Romeo and Juliet," and "A Midsummer Night's Dream," through which she encourages creativity and personal growth among young performers.
